A plan is forming in my mind. I am kind of sick of this “give me everything” attitude of American’s in general and I am thinking that the best way to fight against it would be to lead by example. Theoretically I am going to be getting finished with school in the next 9 months, and after that time I will be free to go and do the kind of things that I want to do. Unfortunately, that, along with every other aspect of American life takes money. But I have decided that the easiest way to get through this part would be to get rid of everything that I have that makes being freely mobile difficult and trim my life down to the bare minimums. I need to have books. I need to have a computer. I do not need a 46 inch tv and 7000 watt home entertainment system in a 5000 square foot house with a three car garage loaded with a 500 horsepower SUV. I would like to have a truck, maybe a late model Dodge diesel, something that can tow a house on wheels, a micro-house on wheels. So I can then just park my house near where I want to work. When it comes time to move on I hook the house up to the truck and I go to the next place I want to work. Maybe make it kind of seasonal, following the warmth. I have not worked out all of the details yet. But I surely don’t want to be living some crazy life in a McMansion.
